Diesel emissions repair in Spring, TX. Repaired, not deleted.
The particulate filter, DEF and SCR, EGR, and the sensors around them. We find out why the system is fouling and fix the cause. We do not do deletes or tunes that remove emissions equipment: on a road vehicle it is illegal under federal law, it fails inspection, and it costs the owner at resale.
If your truck is doing one of these
You do not need to know the cause to book. Describe what the truck is doing and we will find it — that is what the diagnostic hour is for, and it comes off the bill if you have us do the work.
Regen won't complete, or happens far too often
Either the filter is loading faster than it should — injectors, EGR or a boost leak making the engine run dirty — or a sensor is reporting wrongly. We check the differential pressure and exhaust temperature sensors and find the soot source rather than forcing regens.
Filter genuinely full
Soot burns off; ash does not. When the filter is full of ash it needs cleaning or replacement, and that is measured, not guessed. A filter condemned on soot alone comes straight back.
DEF quality warnings, urea faults, countdown to derate
Crystallised DEF injectors, failed heaters and NOx sensors, and the wiring between them. The countdown is the truck telling you it will limit speed on a schedule, so this one should not wait.
EGR cooler and valve
Sticking valves, cracked coolers, coolant loss with nothing on the ground. Cleaned or replaced, and the reason for the sooting addressed.
Sensors and wiring
Exhaust temperature, NOx, differential pressure and DEF level sensors, and harness chafe where they run along the frame. A good sensor with a bad connection fails the same way as a bad sensor.
Limp mode and derate
We read the whole fault history and the freeze frames, not the one code that is showing, so the repair is for the cause and not the last symptom.
What we will not do
We do not remove, disable or tune out DPF, DEF, SCR or EGR equipment, and we will not install parts that do. It is illegal on any vehicle driven on public roads, it fails the Texas inspection in counties that test emissions, and it lowers what the truck is worth when you sell it. If a shop has offered you a delete, we will still take the truck on and repair the system properly.
What you get before we touch anything
Same as every job here: we inspect it, photograph what we find, put an estimate in your hands, and wait for you to say yes. On a diesel that matters more, because the parts are expensive enough that nobody should be guessing.
Diagnosis you can read
A full code pull and live data, cross-checked against what the truck is actually doing — then explained in plain language. $100, and it comes off the bill if we do the repair.
Published rates
$180/hr for heavy duty and any diesel. Cars and light trucks (up to ½ ton) are $125, trucks (¾ ton and up) $150. Most shops make you call to find out what an hour costs; ours are on the site.
Warranty in writing
Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, usually 6–12 months. Our workmanship is 30 days — if we got it wrong, we put it right at no charge. If a warranty part fails, labor is charged again; we would rather say that up front than at the counter.
Fleet work
Scheduled maintenance programs for working trucks, with one point of contact and records kept against each vehicle. Call and we will work out intervals around how the trucks actually run.
